About the Book
Divorcee, Gayle Anderson (46) had no desire to remarry but dimpled Steve
Carlson caught her attention when her church gave her the responsibility to
organize activities for single adults over thirty. These activities also
involved the “girls” power walk group, a group of five single women:
enthusiastic, red-headed Maggie (31) always on the lookout for a fun,
exciting time, usually with a man; eager-to-please Donna (27) with a tender
heart and quiet persistence; mistrustful and aloof, no-nonsense Wanda (40);
and single mother Ellen (32) struggling to raise her two daughters. Their
personalities were as different as their looks and ages, but they shared a
common bond of friendship that would be the envy of anyone struggling alone.
There is a message of support on the pages of Thursday's Secret. It
is written by an author who appreciates relationships in the church, in the
family and in her circle of friends. These values are exemplified in her
writing. Throughout the book, Judy pushes women to better themselves, to
widen their perspective and to stay the course. The book entertains,
motivates, and offers hope for happiness.
